Donitelia Wines

Pinot Grigio  (coming soon)

A  crisp white made with Willamette Valley grapes.  Clean citrus, Bosc pears and tart green apple flavors give this wine its personality.  With a bright and lively finish from the perfectly balanced acids, it has a lot going on in the glass.  If jazz could be bottled, this wine expresses it. Best when chilled.  $12.99.

White Sangiovese

A blush made from mostly Sangiovese grapes.  Although it looks like a white zinfandel, it is easily recognized as a Sangiovese.  A dry, non-sweet wine that is best when it is chilled.  $12.99.

Rosary Red

A blend of pure Sangiovese, in the Chianti style.  A wine that is ready to enjoy immediately.  Rosary Red makes for an easy drink anytime and pairs beautifully with spaghetti in red sauce, pizza or lasagna.  $12.99.

2002 Sangiovese

A classic Chianti-style wine, crafted primarily of Sangiovese, that has perfectly poised natural acidity to cut through fats and oils to clear your palate.  Delicious and decadent, this ample Sangiovese has intense flavors of baked cherries, strawberry jam and festive spices with a delicate structure that will please even the most pedigreed Italian.  Ciao!   $23.50.  On sale for $17.99

2002 Sangiovese Reserve -- Megan Grace

A Super Tuscan blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc.  Intensely colored and jam-packed with overt flavors of ripe fig and dried strawberry.  Plush, creamy and fully loaded, it is a perfect wine to grace your dinner table.  $26.50.

2003 Sangiovese Reserve -- Helen’s Devotion  SOLD OUT

Also a Super Tuscan blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet.  Dark red in color and overflowing with flavors.  Not for the weak of heart.  Intensely colored and jampacked with overt flavors of ripe fig and dried strawberry.  A worthy follow-up to the Megan Grace.  $29.99.

Primitivo

Italian for Zinfandel.  One of the three wines used in making the Super Tuscan blends of Sangiovese (the others are Cabernet and Pinot Nero), this Primitivo is a beautiful wine all by itself.  Spice and fruit are prominent.  $17.99.

2005 Sangiovese Reserve -- Cryogenically extracted

Sangiovese derives its name from sanguis Jovis meaning "the blood of Jove (Jupiter)."  This wine was cooled during fermentation, allowing for extended time to have the grape skins in contact with the juice.  Characteristically, this wine has a high acidity and  moderate tannins.  But because of the fermentation process, there is dark, deep red color and exploding fruit.   Just a hint of earthiness.  Excellent by itself and with elegant dinners.  $24.99.
